GREAT ISLAND BOAT YARD – Winter work has begun on a 1972 Lowell 35. This family-owned boat is being updated by the Safe Harbor Great Island team to improve its utility and preserve one family’s tradition of being on the water. The owner’s goal…make the boat a sturdy lobster yacht that looks good, is suitable for multi-generational use, and can simply be hosed off between trips, as if still the commercial fishing boat she once was.

STEPHENS-WARING – Stephens Waring is providing an opportunity for you to submit a real-word design or engineering challenge, which we’ll weigh-in on.  It’s part of the launch of our new brand IMMERST, which applies our extensive marine engineering and design experience to find solutions and generate ideas for a broad set of land and sea challenges.

Submissions may be challenges on land or water. They can be related to boats, homes, hotels, offices, or something we haven’t thought of yet.  We’ll select the best submissions and share our insight, ideas, and possible solutions in an upcoming story.
